CSUN Senior Design Project: UWB Antennas
Contributed to a small satellite project by designing a four-arm sinuous antenna with circular polarization and wideband operation. Achieved a reflection coefficient under –6 dB across a 3.5–7.5 GHz range, with a peak gain of 6.4 dB and axial ratio below 3 dB. Also developed and tested a two-arm variant to compare performance and optimize the final design. The project taught, the hard way, about strong project management, a solid grasp of satellite comms, and an easygoing but effective team spirit—all while improving test environment efficiency and accuracy
